I studied experimental biology at the Universidad de Guanajuato, where my research interest grew, so I decided to study for a master’s degree in Plant Biotechnology at CINVESTAV Irapuato, where I’m currently in my last semester studying the interaction between Neopestalotiopsis and Fragaria x Ananassa to find candidate varieties for the study of resistance genes. I have been involved in science outreach to show children and teenagers how interesting science can be.

I’m currently interested in plant pathology in crops of agronomic interest, especially in host resistance to various pathogens and the identification of resistance genes that can aid in genetic improvement. I am interested in industry research and would like to work in R&D.
